I have an iPhone 3G. I ever extract audio from my videos in avi, flv, mov format etc to make my ringtong special. So, first I convert audio to .acc or mp3 format with a program called SnowFox iPhone Video Converter. It could add the converted files to iTunes automatically, and what u need do is just to drag the files to ur iPhone.

Btw, this converter could be compatible with all series and my sister's iPod and iPad. So i recommend it to you. in my opinion it can be said all in one apple application converter! :D
