iphone sms ringtone without jailbreaking?

Is it possible to get any other text message ringtones on the iphone 3gs without jailbreaking it? I know this is probably a way over asked question but im just wondering

i use the Ventones website all the time for my new Iphone 3g,
and the problem is that you are doing it wrong.

you can't send the ringtone to your phone because you can't save it that way on the Iphones.

How do you make an Itunes song your Iphone ringtone?

I recently baught an Iphone, and there are limited ringtones on it so I wanted to make a song my ringtone..
I've googled it and it can be done, but with all the songs I have (off C.D's) It says that the song needs to be purchased off the Itunes Store.. Is there any way that I can get the songs I have downloaded or the songs off my C.D's as my ringtone??

Is there anyway i can add a ringtone to my iphone without using a track purchased from itunes itself ?

All the websites I have checked tell me to use tracks brought from itunes or applications from itunes that shorten the track. But I am using Mobile spin and it works perfectly well but I don't know how to get them to show up on the ringtone area when my iphone is connected ??? Any Ideas ????
